Much strangeness at Tay Towers on Saturday Night. During my show on Saturday night a movement on one of the security cameras caught my eye. As I looked closer I noticed a woman walking towards the bottom of the stairs to reception. At the weekend and at night they are chained off but this didnot seem to deter her as she chose to try to go under the chain. She appeared to fall up the stairs in the process of doing this but she picked herself up and carried on.
At this point Mike R decided he was going to leave the building from the rear door. As he reached his car he obviously heard the noise and looked up to see what was going on. Remember that I can see but not hear any of this.
What followed next was the woman coming back down the stairs, trying to climb under the chain and falling again, a lot of arm waving and gesturing followed by the woman appearing to dive off the raised walkway onto the cobbled parking area. It was like watching an inept suicide attempt.
At this point I thought it wise to go help and clicking autopilot on the desk ran for the door in time to meet Mike coming in for help. We went out and helped a rather drunk and upset woman to her feet and sent her on her way. Incidentally she had been wanting a request and we never did work out what she wanted to hear.
The funniest part of all this was that Paul G who was on air on AM had looked up as I ran past the studio to see Mike standing over the body of a woman in the car park. Not sure what he thought was going on.
